the way he sees youThe first thing you’ll hear is the bass line  and the floor throbbing  whiskey smoke mixed in the naked scent of skin.  A voice in the dark lighting up shadows  pulls them in, like soft thighs at midnight  as he dances in circles, softly reeling  you in like a fish on his line, the one that he used  on the girl waiting by the bar.  You know it’s a lie.  He doesn’t want you  doesn’t want anything but heat  trapped in the cold leather of a backseat driver.  But you throw your head back  flash a smile, rock your hips  and let him take you in, one slow inch at a time.
